Resonance House

Built in 1918 by oil baron Frank Breene, the Resonance House is today the home and headquarters for activities sponsored by Resonance Center for Women, Inc. This three-story Georgian Revival mansion totals 8,000 square feet, showcasing a grand central staircase, fireplaces made of imported Italian marble, oak and maple parquet floors and Oriental rugs. The house is a smaller replica of a country manner that Napoleon built for Josephine. In 1959, the house was opened by Magi Kimball as the John F. Kennedy School for Seizure Children. The school served mentally handicapped children at this location for 25 years.

The Resonance house provides a warm, home-like environment for the women and families that we serve. Resonance is a place for a woman to feel welcomed and valued. Our facility, located at 1608 South Elwood Avenue, near beautiful downtown Tulsa and close to the Arkansas River, has a comfortable, inviting atmosphere.

Resonance staff and therapists are dedicated professionals devoted to helping our clients discover their true inner strength. When a woman walks out of the doors of Resonance, she is not alone. On her road to self-sufficiency, Resonance continues to provide a support system for her as she starts over.

Facility Rental

In order to better focus on serving our clients and to accomodate the ever- growing need for our services, the house will unfortunately no longer be available to rent for social functions. While we regret that we will no longer be able to host your memorable occasions, we feel that this will allow us to better meet the needs of our clients.
